Chicago is the third-most populous city in the United States, with approximately 2.7 million residents— but is it meeting the needs of all its people within the limits of the planet?
Using the Doughnut Economics framework, we hope this report serves as a compass 🧠to help us meet the needs of all people within the limits of the planet 🌎. By compiling social and ecological indicators, this report offers a snapshot of Chicago's progress toward this goal. A total of 25 social and ecological indicators were chosen to provide a concise visual assessment of our economy’s performance.

We seek to connect with stakeholders and experts interested in the long-term sustainability of the Chicagoland area. With your input and support, we hope to refine and expand our candidate indicators to better reflect our community's needs.
